Renowned tuner Bisimoto Engineering will build the one-off tuned Sonata.

SEMA Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has teased a picture of a one-off 718PS Hyundai Sonata which has been made specifically for the upcoming 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Jointly developed by legendary tuners Bisimoto and Hyundai USA, the new Sonata will essentially use one-off high performance parts.

The SEMA Sonata will be powered by a 2.4-litre, four cylinder engine that has been beefed up by a Turbonetics race turbo mated to a Spearco intercooler. The engine also has a one-off Golden Eagle intake manifold combined with forged pistons from Arias and R&R high performance con-rods. The list of aftermarket parts that power the engine goes on with Deatschwerks fuel injectors, an AEM Infinity 6 ECU and a Magnafuel 750 high performance fuel pump. The manual 6-speed gearbox too has been beefed up with a Bisimoto Action Ironman clutch.

On the exterior front, the Sonata has been equipped with a Bisimoto front splitter, a Wasp Composites aero styling package and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The car will also feature coil-over suspension that gives it a better stance and a custom wrap to make it look unique. On the interior front, the Bisimoto built Hyundai Sonata will be equipped with a race-spec roll cage, AEM gauges and a Racepack IQ3 instrument cluster. The Sonata will be unveiled at the SEMA show at Las Vegas on November 4.
