The compact sedan Maruti Suzuki DZire gets a comprehensive facelift and is expected to be launched by the end of 2014

India’s leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is busy giving its car line up a thorough makeover. After the recently launched new Maruti Suzuki Swift, the company is ready to introduce the refreshed Maruti Suzuki Alto next week - slated to be the most affordable AMT equipped car of India.

And then it’ll be the turn of the latest iteration of the Maruti Suzuki DZire compact sedan. Recently, the Maruti Suzuki DZire facelift was spotted, and going by these spy images the entry level sedan seems to have been given a more intensive makeover than the new Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Facelift Maruti DZire with new alloy wheels and new blue body colour

On the exterior design the changes include a chunky chrome grille, new bumper sporting redesigned air-intakes with chrome accents and a new pair of re-profiled headlights with smoked effect. Apart from the new propeller-like 10-spoke alloy wheels, the side profile remains pretty much unchanged. While the rear design gets new bumper with a chrome strip on the bootlid.

2015 maruti DZire gets push-button start and keyless entry

The new Maruti Suzuki DZire facelift will get additional features like keyless entry (suggested by the button on the front door handle), push button start, steering mounted audio controls, electrically operated outer rear view mirrors among others. Along with these Maruti will introduce a couple of new body colours including the one sported by the car in these spy images.

Like the new Swift, the Maruti Suzuki DZire facelift is expect to offer improved fuel-efficiency and driving dynamics. The new DZire is expected to be launched by the end of 2014 and priced around Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh.
