Datsun reveals new face for entry-level cars in India

Let’s face it, no matter how much we love big engines and big cars, here in India it’s the small cars that rock the economy. Rising fuel costs and lack of space means you need to keep that big guzzler in your garage and commute in the most practical way possible. As a result, the small car boom will never let up in India. While you might have already read about it sometime earlier on ZigWheels, as of now the plans are finally taking shape with a small glimpse of what is coming. The Datsun cars for India will be manufactured locally and tailored to suit local tastes and conditions. Expect a sub-Rs 5 lakh car to Indian shores by 2014 and which if made right is sure to give the competition a run for its money considering Datsun’s of yore were some of the most brilliant cars out there.
