The Caterham Supersport with the 1.6lire Ford Sigma engine
The new Supersport is powered by has a 1.6-litre Ford Sigma engine, but what makes the car exciting and track worthy is short shifting five-speed transmission, a feather-light fly wheel that allows the light car to rev up quickly, and prepared for race suspension that gives the new car fantastic handling dynamics. With the help of the Blue Oval engine the 520kg Brit car can go from 0-60mph (100km/h) in a skimpy 4.9seconds with a top speed of 120mph (192km/h). The car has 13” Avon rubbers. Loaned from elder racing cousin, the car features springs, dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars, and a track inspired dashboard.
