TVS Motor Company and DSK Hyosung announced that they have slashed prices of their products after Finance Minister, P Chidambaram announced reduction in excise duty in the Interim Budget 2014. The excise duty has been slashed from the previous 12 per cent to current eight percent and is applicable on small car, motorcycles, scooter and commercial vehicles. DSK Hyosung has decided to pass on the entire benefit to its customers and reduced the prices of its whole product portfolio from Rs 4,000 to Rs 20,000. TVS also announced price-cuts on their entire range of two and three wheeler models, which ranges from Rs 850 to Rs 3,500. The changes in prices will be ex-showroom and is applicable at all the dealers of both the manufacturers across the country.
