Three distinct models of the R1200R will be available, each with a different paint scheme and a selection of factory fit options as standard. These include the R1200R, the R1200R Sport and the top of the line R 1200R Exclusive.
The new R1200R has the new liquid-cooled 1170cc boxer twin first seen in the R1200GS in 2012. The base R1200R is available at dealers in the UK from February 7, 2015 at GBP 10,250 on road.
ABS, traction control and separate power modes come as standard on the R1200R. On the other models, several factory fitted performance features are add-ons, like the Dynamic Traction Control and Gear Shift Assist Pro on the R1200R Sport and BMW’s semi-active suspension and Electronic Suspension Adjustment as standard features on the top-of-the-line R1200R Exclusive.
A comprehensive range of BMW Motorcycle Equipment is available for the R1200R , ranging from luggage options including panniers, top box and tank bag, through to the BMW Navigator V GPS system, screens and an Akrapovic Sports Silencer.
