Ishan Sharma flags off the BFI National Safety Ride

The Bike Festival of India (BFI), which is a joint initiative of Rhiti Sports Management & Event Capital kicked off its proceedings with the National Safety Ride. The event was flagged off by Indian Cricketer Ishant Sharma in New Delhi. The National Safety Ride is the first event to be held by ‘Bike Festival of India’ which will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida on October 4th & 5th. The National Safety Ride will be the longest safety awareness ride of its kind to be ever held in our country.

Indian Cricket Team Captain and avid biker Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the brand ambassador for ‘Bike festival of India’ which was announced a few months back in Mumbai. According to officials, the Bike festival of India has been initiated with an intention of creating a platform for the biker community to come together and participate in various events while understanding the importance of safe biking among the riders. 

Six male riders and three female bikers will participate in the BFI National Safety Ride to cover a total distance of 8,100km in 30 days and their priority would be to create awareness about safe riding in the various cities that they will travel along their journey. Iconic British two-wheeler manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles is the official bike supplier for the event and will provide the Triumph Speed Triple and Triumph Thunderbird Storm. As part of the ride, the bikers will halt in cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Kolkata and Chandigarh to meet and interact with bikers from other communities. The official BFI ‘National Safety Riders’ riders are Rahul Sharma, Rohan Monga, Jaspreet Aiden, R Venkat Raman, Sheetal Bidaye, Urvashi Patole, Pratish Ambekar,  Anjaly Rajan and Sunil Gupta.
