To boost the visual appeal of its ageing 150cc offering, Bajaj Auto has introduced three new dual colour options for the Pulsar 150

In a bid to infuse new life in the ageing Pulsar 150, Bajaj Auto has introduced new dual-tone shades for the 150cc motorcycle. The Pulsar 150 has been updated with three new colour options, which are Sapphire Blue, Pearl Metallic White and Cocktail Wine Red. Bajaj had adopted the same dual colour schemes for its other offerings under the Pulsar portfolio starting with the Pulsar 220.

The Pulsar 150 is still the undisputed king in the 150cc segment but with rival manufacturers bringing in new products it is starting to look dated in comparison. This new colour scheme seems to be the last move by the Chakan based two-wheeler manufacturer to boost sales of the Pulsar 150, before it will be replaced with an all-new offering based on the Pulsar 200NS. The change made to the Pulsar 150 is only cosmetic and no improvements have been made to the cycle parts or engine. Powering the bike is the same 149cc, DTS-i, air-cooled mill producing 15PS at 9,000rpm and a torque rating of 12.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The new colour shades have been introduced at no extra cost and the Pulsar 150 will retail for Rs 65,497 (ex-showroom Pune). The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is pitched against rivals like Honda CB Trigger, Hero Xtreme, Suzuki GS150R, Yamaha FZ and TVS Apache RTR 160 in the 150cc spectrum.
