Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni enthralled winners of the Gulf Oil’s “Ride With Dhoni” initiative. As part of the contest, winners got an opportunity to interact with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and also ride with him at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida. Dhoni led the ‘RWD’ 2014 winners around the BIC Circuit on his Gulf Oil Racing R15 which was draped in the legendary blue and orange livery. The contest running on social media websites Twitter and Facebook and the winners hailed from cities like Etawah, Gwalior, Mumbai, Dehradun etc.
The Gulf Oil initiative was held along with the Bike Festival of India of whom Dhoni is a brand ambassador as well. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is himself a passionate biker and has a huge collection of bikes. Currently he has more than 20 bikes as part of his garage ranging from the Yamaha RD-350 to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. But the crown jewel in his collection is the ultra rare and insanely expensive Confederate Hellcat. Dhoni enjoys all genres of motorcycles and also owns cruiser bikes from the stable of Harley-Davidson. Mahendra Singh Dhoni also owns a World Superbike Championship team in the supersport category - Mahi Racing.
Speaking about the event, Ravi Chawla Gulf Oil’s Managing Director said, “M S Dhoni is not only a great leader but a legendary sportsman and an inspiration for today’s youth. With our commitment to sports and an integral association with Bike Festival of India, we are confident of communicating our brand story and experience to our young generation”.
