Avis Announces Lady Chauffeurs for Single Women Travelers

In a bit to cater to the single woman traveler, Avis India has introduced lady chauffeurs. This is the first car rental company in India to do so.
Avis India is a premium car rental service provider that also has the knack to innovate time and time again. It was only recently that the company introduced the ‘Self-Drive’ service for discerning customers and now in a bid to make life a whole lot easier for single women travelers, the company has introduced lady chauffeurs.
The first fleet of six lady chauffeurs will be driving the Avis’s India’s new BMW 5 series fleet at The Oberoi Hotel, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Aged 25 to 53, the lady chauffeurs have been offered a two month extensive training in order to acquire the necessary skills in customer relations as well as handling luxury cars. The ladies have also been trained extensively on city routes to ensure precise service. In addition to this, the lady chauffeurs have also received grooming lessons and undergone basic defense tactics preparation.
Avis intents on increasing the number of lady drivers across cities as this market is yet untapped. A lady driver goes a long way in giving a single female passenger the sense of security and comfort to travel alone in our cities.
