Evanta Barchetta revealed at 2014 Goodwood Revival

After years of ruling the car tuning scene in UK, British car tuner, Kahn Design collaborated with Evanta Motors, to give birth to a retro sports car built in the style of a classic barchetta with modern day technology. This new sports car made its world debut at the 2014 Goodwood Revival classic car event.

The carmaker states that the sports car is inspired by the design language of 1950s motorsport with sleek, sweeping curves and a low profile. This new car will be hand-built in Britain using traditional coach-building methods. The British carmaker plans to build two versions of this new vehicle – one with a composite Kevlar body and one with an aluminum body. Evanta plans to sell the new Evanta Barchetta in both left-hand drive as well as right-hand drive versions.

Power to the Evanta Barchetta will come from a 6.2-litre V8 engine which will deliver 450PS of power. It will be mated to either manual or an automatic transmission.

A limited production run of only 148 units will be made. The new Evanta Barchetta will be priced at Rs 1.24 crore for the Kevlar-bodied version, while its aluminum sibling will retail at Rs 1.63 crore (both the prices exclusive of taxes and duties).
