European marque to be marketed by bike customisation expert Vardenchi Motorcycles

Moto Morini Scrambler

Italians are masters when it comes to developing gorgeous two-wheeler designs. The crowd at Auto Expo 2014 got a taste of it at the Vardenchi Motorcycle stands, which has become the official retailer of Moto Morini, the popular performance motorcycle maker from Italy. With its manufacturing plant based in Bologna, the company produces adventure sports and huge performance bikes like the Emezzo, Corsaro, Rebello, Granpasso 1200 and the Scrambler. The latter two bikes were on display at the Vardenchi stall wooing everyone who passed by to give it a second look. The Moto Morinis are currently going through homologation in India and should be ready to be booked by September 2014. Once you place your bookings for these bikes priced between Rs 24-26 lakh, these Italian beauties would take two months to be imported and delivered.

Moto Morini Granpasso

Using his years of expertise in motorcycle customisation Vardenchi founder, Akshay Varde, with the support of his team showcased the Type 5 (T5) concept, a chunky cruiser, and uses Moto Morini's massive 1,200cc V-twin motor. Adding jto the style quotient are fat 200mm rear tyre, spoked wheels, tubular trellis frame and swingarm, and twin exhausts. Sprung on Ohlins rear shock absorber and upside-down front forks, this big bad cruiser is intended to be a lifestyle product, than a sharp track machine. This highly customised bike would set you back by about Rs 12 lakh.
