Audi opens its first showroom in Bhopal

With over 50 percent market share in the luxury car market in Madhya Pradesh it’s safe to say that the German luxury car maker has already gained strong acceptance in central India. Looking to further build on this significant market share and reach out to a wider customer base in the state, Audi has now opened its second showroom in the state in the city of Bhopal.
Spread over a total area of 2,804 sq. ft. the new Audi Bhopal showroom flaunts the same honeycomb aluminum façade exterior design as we have seen on larger showrooms in the country’s Tier I towns, but on a far more scaled down architecture.
Despite offering a confined space that can merely display 3 Audi cars, the newly established boutique outlet concept in Bhopal will sell the complete Audi India Model range, and will also house an Audi Shop and Audi Exclusive elements, where customers can order customized products and purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new showroom in Bhopal, Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, said “The Audi brand has gained strong acceptance in Madhya Pradesh and Bhopal as the capital is important since it gives an access to the entire state due it its economic and political status.”
Headed by Gaurav Anand, Managing Director, Audi Bhopal (Anand Cars Private Ltd), this new showroom is Audi’s first in the city of Bhopal and second exclusive sales outlet in Madhya Pradesh after Audi Indore.
Having recently opened its showrooms in Coimbatore, Delhi West and Nagpur, Audi now plans to expand its pan India network to 25 dealerships by the end of 2012 from its existing 19 centres.
