Audi A9 concept teased

Audi is set to unveil a new concept car at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. This car is designed to preview a new styling language for the German marque. The new concept has been designed at the company's style centre in Ingolstadt, and will give us a sneak preview of the German carmaker’s range-topping Audi A9 model.

The new car is expected to be built on the same MLB Evo platform, which also does duty in the next generation Audi A8. The concept model is being built under the direction of the company's chief designer Marc Lichte who recently joined the office in February.

The production version is rumored to come in 2017 with an Audi A9 moniker, and will be allegedly followed by a S9 derivative packing a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine delivering a whopping 600PS of power.

This concept car will be unveiled on November 18 during the first press day of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
