Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) in association with SIAM-SAFE and the Ministry of Street Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is celebrating the ‘Nationwide Street Security Week’ across India. The automaker aims to create awareness about street security among people through this initiative.
Commenting on the Road Safety campaign, Sanjoy Gupta, Vice-President – Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, “As responsible corporate citizens, we at Mahindra are committed towards making India’s roads safer. Today, most accidents are caused due to driver negligence and improper road etiquette. Hence, it is our responsibility to educate people about road safety. Through activities at various touch points, we are trying to educate the drivers of today and the generation of tomorrow, thereby helping them to imbibe values of road safety from a young age.”
Mahindra has set its theme as ‘Safety is not just a slogan, it's a way of life.' The company has undertaken various activities to make this initiative a success. The automaker has organised road safety awareness programs for dealer staff and education program for divers through dealer workshops. The company has also tried to create awareness among school children through video presentation on 'Safety Technology in Automobiles'. Mahindra has also organised drawing competition for school children and customer kids.
Over 400 dealer workshops from across the country will engage at various levels to make this road safety campaign a success.
