The ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show is going to feature a lot of international debuts of all types of cars from all over the world. Most cars boast all sorts of technical features, the Aston Martin DBS carbon however is a little bit different

The DBS Carbon Edition will be available in three colours, alongside the Carbon Black colour which debuted on the DBS Carbon Black two new colours will be available called Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey. These unique paintjobs will receive seven layers of paint, it will take 25 hours just to hand polish and finish the exclusive paint job which results in a glass veneer, a technique normally reserved for jewellery production. An optional satin lacquer paint finish can be specified on the car which creates a silk like texture.

Aston Martin’s DBS Carbon Edition gets a warm black grille, carbon fibre rear view mirror casings, carbon fibre lamp in-fills and smoked tail lights. The wheels are 10 spoke diamond turned alloys with a reverse diamond turned or full gloss black finish options. The DBS Carbon Edition gets bean blade wipers which reduce wind noise and clean better at high speeds.

On the inside the car gets swathes of obsidian black or maranello orange semi-aniline soft touch leather. The headlining of the passenger cabin is quilted in leather and on the whole the cabin will require in excess of 70 man hours to hand stitch and complete. The carbon fibre facia is hand laid for a perfectly aligned carbon weave. The paddle shifters are made out of a magnesium alloy and the automatic gearbox is tipped with carbon fibre. The carbon edition like the updated standard DBS will get a new Aston Martin Garmin sat-nav system featuring improved graphics and a better user interface.
