Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider

The auto world is abuzz with reports of the Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider being limited to only 458 units. Speculations are also rife that the Italian carmaker had organised an exclusive preview for select people at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, an annual automotive charitable event held in Pebble Beach, California, to show off a new Ferrari 458 variant.

This new car is likely to be offered with two new wheel designs, and with new stripes which are unique from the one seen on the coupe version. Reports also suggest that Ferrari’s new baby may lose its Speciale Spider tag, although information about the same is still unconfirmed.

Inside, this new Ferrari 458 variant may feature new sports seats and carbon fibre mats. It is also rumoured that the new hypercar will not be offered with a see through engine cover which featured on the coupe version of the Ferrari Speciale. Reports also suggest that this new car will become the fastest open-top model from the Italian carmaker.

This new model is likely to be equipped with a 4.5-litre V8 engine delivering 605PS of power and a staggering 540Nm of torque. This vehicle will accelerate from 0-100kmph in three seconds, with a top-speed of 325kmph.

This new Ferrari model is rumoured to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this October.
