Making its initial debut in India a decade ago, the Ford Endeavour was a massive SUV which had loads of road presence on the streets. Now, Ford has relaunched the all-new Endeavour in a completely new avatar today, which is even beefier than its predecessor. Launched with a starting price of Rs 23,63,999 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the all new Ford Endeavour will be offered in six variants by the American manufacturer.

Update : All New Ford Endeavour Launched at Rs 24.75 Lakh

Ford has launched the new Endeavour with two diesel engine options – the smaller 2.2-litre turbo-charged engine which is capable of producing 160PS of power at 3,200rpm and 385Nm of torque at 1,600-2,500rpm and a bigger 3.2-litre turbocharged engine churning out 200PS of power at 3,000rpm and 470Nm of torque at 1,750-2,000rpm. Suspension duties will be taken care of by independent coil springs with anti-roll bar at the front followed by coil springs (Watts linkage type) and anti-roll bar at the rear. All variants of the new Endeavour will sport 265/60 R18 size tyres mounted on chunky 18-inch wheels, finished in grey with a polished finish. Braking duties will be handled by discs on all four corners across all six variants.

New Ford Endeavour

Ford has configured the new Endeavour in 6 variants in all, with different engine, gearbox and drivetrain combinations. The variants are primarily divided into two trim levels – Trend and Titanium.

The Trend variant is further split into 4 categories. The entry level variants have the 2.2-litre engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, which is further split to choose between a rear-wheel drive and a 4x4 drive final drivetrain. The same engine is also available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and receives only rear wheel drive option. Lastly, the Trend variant has the larger 3.2-litre engine which comes with the 6-speed automatic gearbox with the all-time 4-wheel drive system.

Moving on to the Titanium variant, it has basically two configurations to select. The first is powered again by the 2.2-litre engine mated to 6-speed automatic transmission with final drive given only to the rear wheels. The second configuration comes with the 3.2-litre engine with the automatic transmission and four-wheel drive is offered in the top-end variant. Both configurations offered under the bonnet in the Titanium variant of the new Endeavour are the same as their corresponding Trend variants. What differentiates them is the host of other features that are provided in the Titanium variant.

On comfort and conveniences, all variants of the new Endeavour will be equipped with the important features like remote key-less entry, electronically adjustable and folding side mirrors, rear parking sensors, audio controls on steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, rear-view camera with display on centre console, and cruise control (automatic) apart from the standard features. The Trend variant doesn’t get automatic headlamps with HID illuminance, front parking sensors, and heated side mirrors. Terrain management system is available only for the 4x4 variants of the new Endeavour. Power folding third row seats and panoramic sunroof are provided only in the Titanium top-end model.
