Ajit Pawar flags off Tata 1613 CNG buses for Pune city

Tata Motors to provide 550 units of their 1613 CNG buses to Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPL)

Tata Motors has bagged one of the  largest orders from the Pune city's transport service provider, PMPL. According to the agreement the automobile major will provide a good, 550 units of their 1613 CNG buses to PMPL. Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister,Maharashtra, today, flagged off the first bus which will be a part of the cultural capital of Maharashtra.

Tata Motors issued a note about the above picture, saying, "Mr Ajit Pawar,Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, at the roll-out ceremony of Tata Motors new 1613 CNG buses for Pune city. Ensuring safe and reliable transportation for passengers, Tata Motors will deliver 550 nos. of 1613 CNG buses for PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited). Mr Pawar in the photograph is seen taking keen interest in understanding the features of a bus on display."

The 1613 CNG bus comes with a 5.7-litre SGI Bharat Stage IV, water-cooled, stoichiometric, naturally aspirated, CNG engine. It has a maximum power of 96PS and a peak torque of 405Nm.
