Aditya Patel gets a podium at Scirocco Cup

After a remarkable start from Indian driver Aditya Patel at the Scirocco Cup at Hockenheim in May, the rookie continues to impress as he gets a podium at Nurburgring
Round 5 of the 2011 Scirocco Cup saw Aditya Patel grab a podium at the legendary circuit of Nurburgring. The Chennai lad took the chequered flag just 6.231seconds behind first place M. Lisowski who finished the quota of 14 laps in 25.28,208 minutes.
Patel has missed the podium three times in this season securing fourth place on several ocassions - at Hockenheim, in Race 2 at Spielberg, and at Lausitzring. But this equation changed as he secured third place at Nurburgring yesterday for the first time in this season. After the Nurburgring race, now stands fifth on the championship standings with 171 points. M. Lisowski leads the table with 248 points, followed by D. Lloyd with 201 points. With a difference of 16 points between Patel and third place running O. Nilsson it can be said for sure that the Chennai boy will look for an overall third place in the season.
