Abarth 695 Competizione
Fiat's in-house tuning company Abarth has been in the business if modifying little Fiats for quite a while now. Over the years they have given us many performance hatchbacks and each time they make a new car it is a bit more exciting than the previous one
Fiat has announced that the 695 Competizione will be the first ‘street legal’ Scorpion racing car. The car is based on the Abarth 500 Assetto Corsa which is the Fiat 500 race car. The Abarth 695 Competizione will replace the sold out 695 Tributo Ferrari. In essence it is the same car as the latter but with a different paint job called the Grigio Competizione Opaco livery. Therefore it will have the same 1.4 liter 16 valve turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine. The engine will produce more than 180 horsepower and will take the car from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 224 km/h.

The 695 Competizione will sport a five-speed electromechanical gearbox with two settings ‘Street’ and ‘Track’. The Street will be put the gearbox in automatic mode while the Track mode will be a full bore manual with paddle shifters. The car gets newly calibrated Koni dampers. Bigger 305mm four piston caliper Brembo disc brakes will be on offer. The wheels will be the same 17 inch from the Tributo Ferrari.
On the inside the 695 Competizione features a carbon fibre dashboard, carbon fibre bucket seat shell, the seats will be finished in black leather with red alacantra inserts, a Jaegar instrument panel, and the pedals get Abarth’s scorpion logo to tingle your senses every time you see them. The car will come with Fiat’s Blue&Me system and MAP Satellite Navigation and a Magneti Marelli information system. The rear seats have been chucked out and replaced by an anti-roll bar.

Like every other Abarth this one too is a hardcore scorpion that gives every other hot hatchback the shivers.
