Cougar Motorsport Pvt Ltd. has announced the dates of the 7th edition of ‘The Himalayan Dash’. The event is a self-driving expedition for people who are enthusiasts about driving their premium cars and SUVs. The 11-day event will be held from 2nd July to 12th July, to the highest motorable roads in the world. The expedition will have a travelling distance of over 1500 kms and will cover 5 states during the journey. The event is aimed for corporate executives and business owners who have the passion to travel and have the thrill to drive through adventurous roads of Manali to Leh and Srinagar.

The route of the Himalayan Dash has been chalked out to embed a long-lasting memory of the experience in the comfort of your vehicle. The route will have sufficient breaks in between for the participants to enjoy the landscapes, discuss route, interact, take pictures and have food. The expedition has a combination of different terrains like mountain passes, long stretches of the cold desert and deep gorges of the Beas, Chandra and Indus rivers.

Accommodation will be done in well-attended boarding and lodging where people can relax after the day’s activity. Cougar Motorsport will ensure that the participants do not have to worry about the logistics part of the expedition. The participants will be provided with necessary road books and GPS tracks, coordination of the convoy, arranging local guidance and support from experts, service support and liaison with the local authorities for permits. In-case of any medical emergency, a doctor and ambulance with oxygen and medical supplies will be present with the convoy throughout the expedition. 

To participate in the expedition, the person behind the wheel needs to have a valid driving licence recognised in India. Any four-wheeler can be driven either 2WD or 4WD. A vehicle with high ground clearance, reliable mechanical systems, good brakes, tyres and battery condition is recommended. The vehicles need to be privately owned and should comply with are the required legal documents.
