The next generation Suzuki Hayabusa has been rendered and it is expected that Suzuki's mighty hypertourer will be based on the Concept GSX concept, and will also most likely get a 1,500cc four-cylinder powerplant

2016 Suzuki Hayabusa

The Suzuki Hayabusa is definitely among the most popular superbikes in India owing to the Bollywood flick Dhoom which saw bad guy John Abraham make many daring escapes from the police officials astride it. But the Suzuki Hayabusa has its own credentials which make it a popular motorcycle among performance junkies. It was the fastest production motorcycle on sale globally before the gentlemen’s agreement was signed. But it’s been more than eight years since the mighty Busa was last updated and with Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R stepping up the game, Suzuki was feeling the heat.

An update was around the corner and Japanese magazine Young Machine has revealed a rendering of what the next generation Suzuki Hayabusa might look like. The 2016 Suzuki Hayabusa seems to be heavily based on the Concept GSX that was showcased last month and has a more sculpted front end in comparison to its predecessor. The current generation Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc in-line four motor churning out 200PS of maximum power and 139Nm of peak torque. It is being reported that the 2016 Suzuki Hayabusa will get a larger displacement 1,500cc motor which isn’t really surprising. So expect the new Busa to set some benchmarks in the performance motorcycle segment. We will be present at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show where further details regarding the new Suzuki Hayabusa will be revealed. Watch this space for more updates.
