2016 Skoda Octavia facelift spotted

Spy images of the 2016 Skoda Octavia facelift testing in China have surfaced on the web. Although, the car is heavily camoflagued the spy shots do reveal some styling elements which hint that the car will undergo significant changes.

The refreshed Octavia is likely to get some changes on the grille and the headlamps as these portions are draped in vinyl cover. The DRL design may become standard across Skoda models, as it has also been seen on the 2016 Skoda Fabia which was revealed by the Czech carmaker.

A fair amount of camouflage is also visible on the rear end of the sedan which suggests that changes could be made to the tail lamp clusters as well as the bumper. The 2016 Octavia is also expected to receive minor tweaks to its interior.

The current Skoda Octavia is available in both petrol and diesel engine options in India. The engine line-up includes 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre TSI engines and 2.0-litre TDI diesel featuring both manual and DSG automatic transmissions. This engine line-up is expected to remain unchanged.

The refreshed Skoda Octavia is expected to go on sale in India sometime in 2016.
