Local lad Arjun Narendran (Red Rooster Performance) came up with yet another dominating performance to comfortably win the high-end Indian Touring Cars race on the opening day of the third round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship at the Kari Motor Speedway here on Saturday. Narendran had a perfect weekend as he won all the three races of Round 3 thereby stomping his authority and to lead the championship standings.

Narendran didn’t have a good start to the weekend as he qualified in fourth place for Race 1 but despite his poor qualifying he was able to take the race win. In the following two races there was no such drama as he led the race from start to finish showcasing his supreme race pace. Speaking about his performance Arjun Narendran said, “I had good races today. The car was superbly set-up. Also, with the guys fighting for positions behind me, it helped me to increase my lead. This will be my last season of racing here as I am off to UK for higher studies, but hopefully, I can make time to race occasionally.”

Matching Narendran’s clean sweep performance was Chennai racer Tejasram CS of WSRF who also registered a trio of wins in the in the rookie cup (FF 1300) class. In the super stock category, Raghul Rangasamy had a lucky break as he was given the race win as Deepak Ravikumar was excluded for a “technical infringement” and Goa’s Keith Desouza of Unimek Racing emerged victorious in the Indian junior touring cars category race.
