The upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class interiors have been spied and look heavily inspired by the larger S-Class sedan.

Mercedes Benz E-Class interior spied

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class interiors have been spied for the first time and as expected, borrow heavily from its larger brethren, the S-Class. The new car will feature a similar interior design as the S-Class even though it is actually based on a slightly modified platform that the new C-Class uses. The new E-Class is slated for a global debut later this year with an official public unveil at the 2016 NAIAS motor show in January in Detriot.

The new E-Class will adopt the same large 12.3-inch display screen as found on the S-Class. The screen will extend from the instrument cluter to the centre console unlike the free standing screen that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets. The new E-Class will also get four individual AC vents in the centre console of the dashboard which are finished from polished aluminum.

The new E-Class will also be the first Mercedes-Benz car to get the new carbon dioxide air conditioning system, which will be available starting 2017 on selective models. The new E-Class will also be available in both standard wheel base and extended wheel base models worldwide unlike now where the long wheelbase version is available only in the Chinese market. Expect the long wheelbase E-Class to get the Maybach nomenclature just like on the S-Class.
