2016 Bentley Bentayga teased in Detroit

Bentley is trying its best to build hype around its forthcoming new SUV – the Bentayga. The luxury carmaker has released a short video of this SUV at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. The video depicts the 2016 Bentley Bentayga showing its off-road prowess in the desert. 

The latest clip shows the new model receiving a prominent front grille flanked by circular headlamps. The SUV is also expected to receive front fender vents, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a dual exhaust system. The cabin will feature a digital instrument cluster and circular air vents that protrude from the top of the dashboard. There will also be premium leather upholstery, wood trim and metallic accents.

In a statement, Wolfgang Durheimer, CEO, Bentley, said, “Bentayga is a name that reflects what we know our SUV will do better than any other car in the world – combine the best automotive luxury with outstanding performance to take the Bentley experience to new environments.”

This SUV will reportedly ride on Volkswagen Groups’ MLB EVO platform, which underpins the Porsche Macan and Audi A8, and is expected to come equipped with a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine and a 6.0-litre W12 engine.

The 2016 Bentley Bentayga will be revealed later this year before hitting the international market in 2016.
