Displays a Mojo based scrambler and adventure bike; announces ‘Mojo Tribe’ for owners

Mahindra Mojo variants

Mahindra 2 Wheelers today took the opportunity at the 2016 Auto Expo to showcase two variants of the Mojo, a scrambler and an adventure tourer. Both motorcycles are based on Mahindra’s Mojo, its first offering in the burgeoning entry-level performance segment. The Scrambler is stripped down to the bare minimum and gets a round headlamp for that retro look typical to the scrambler category of motorcycles.

The adventure version though look like a proper adventure machine with long travel forks, a tall beak-like front mudguard and knobbly tyres, knuckle guards and similar bits seen on adventure machines. Interestingly, both variants displayed were seen sporting a single exhaust end can as opposed to the two end cans that the stock motorcycle uses. The single exhaust, we have to say, looks a lot better than the twin exhausts.

No plans of launching the motorcycle were announced though. Mahindra also today announced the launch of ‘Mojo Tribe’, an app through which Mojo owners can meet one another, plan rides together, and interact with each other. Moreover Mahindra announced the launch of its ‘Trails of the Mojo Tribe’ calendar for 2016-17 which will constitute four different rides for Mojo owners on different terrains, called the Mountain Trail, Coastal Trail, Jungle Trail and Desert Trail. Mahindra is looking at engagement programs for its Mojo customers and these rides are a step in that direction.
