The facelifted Renault Duster range has been unveiled in India at the 2016 Auto Expo

Renault has finally taken the wraps off the facelifted Duster SUV range. The new updated Renault Duster will be available in six variants with both petrol and diesel engine options, and with automatic and manual options, and will be available in showrooms soon.

The new Duster range now includes an Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT) model too, called Easy-R. It also features an evolved "Electricals and Electronics" architecture and a new CM10 engine.

The facelifted Duster will include an updated front fascia with a new single slat grille with a prominent Renault logo in the centre. The new facelifted car also gets re-styled "Hawk Eye" headlamps, silver scuff plates and new alloy wheels with gun metal finish. The rear of the car too gets an updates scuff plate and bumper while getting new LED tail lamps.

The new Renault Duster also gets an updated interior with a large touchscreen infotainment screen that gets Bluetooth telephony and inbuilt satellite navigation. The new car will also get updates seats, a new steering wheel and updated interior upholstery along with a leather interior option. The new India spec Duster is essentially has taken many design cues from its Brazilian cousin that was facelifted earlier last year.

The Duster, originally introduced in India back in 2012 and has not received any major upgrade since then, apart from the addition of AWD variant in 2014 along with a very mild interior and exterior update. Now, with the facelifted Duster, Renault aims to again draw the attention of compact SUV buyers in the market which have migrated to the likes of the Hyundai Creta in recent times.
