Hero Maestro Edge

The new Hero Maestro Edge has been built from ground up at Hero MotoCorp’s R&D centre and it sports a list of unique features too. Positioned as Hero’s premium offering, the brand new scooter from the stables of India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer is powered by a new 110cc air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine which produces 8.4PS of maximum power at 8000rpm and peak torque of 8.3Nm at 6500rpm. The Maestro Edge comes with a sticker price of Rs 49,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the LX version and Rs 50,700 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the VX variant.

Hero Duet

The Hero Duet is Hero MotoCorp’s new unisex scooter, positioned as a family scooter. And this one is also built on a brand new scooter platform developed by Hero R&D. Unlike its sibling, the brawny and masculine Maestro Edge, the Duet has been positioned for the mass market, and it's going to be the entry level scooter from Hero. The Hero Duet is powered by a new 110cc engine (the same as on the Maestro Edge) and it makes 8.4PS of power at 8000rpm and 8.3Nm of torque at 6500rpm. Living up to its reputation, the scooter has also been competitively priced at Rs 47,000 - 48,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Yamaha Fascino

The new Yamaha Fascino is the most premium scooter from the Japanese motorcycle company in India. The new 113cc scooter from Yamaha India is a slightly more stylish model with unique design and top class quality. It is a decent bait for scooter buyers with more disposable income. The 4 stroke, single-cylinder Blue Core engine, as seen on the other Yamaha India scooters, develops a reasonable 7.1PS of maximum power and 8.1Nm of peak torque. The Yamaha Fascino is priced quite attractively at around Rs 53,100 (ex-showroom Delhi) – making it an affordable, efficient and dependable proposition.

Piaggio Vespa 150

While all other two-wheeler manufacturers have been cowering to introduce a scooter displacing more than 125cc, Vespa has once again ventured into unknown waters with the launch of the VXL 150 and the SXL 150 Vespa twins; reigniting the 150cc scooter segment in India. Making 11.6PS of power and 11.5Nm of peak torque, the Vespa VXL and the SXL are the most powerful scooters on sale in India. The VXL 150 and the SXL 150 have been priced at Rs 84,641 and Rs 88,696 (ex-showroom Delhi), making them the most expensive production scooters in the country.
