2015 Peugeot 308 GT revealed

The 2015 Peugeot 308 GT will make its first public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show which is scheduled to take place in October. This new car from the French carmaker will get some minor visual tweaks, and will be available in hatchback and station wagon body styles.

Upgrades to the exterior include new LED headlamps and turning lights at the front, and a lacquered black diffuser and stylish twin exhaust pipes at the rear. The French car brand’s lion badge has been moved from the bonnet’s leading edge to the front grille.

The new 2015 Peugeot 308 GT will be available with two engine options: A 1.6-litre four-cylinder THP 205 petrol unit and 2.0-litre four-cylinder BlueHDI diesel unit. The 1.6-litre petrol unit is capable of delivering 200PS of power and 285Nm of torque, available between 1,750 and 4,500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel unit is capable of producing 175PS of power and 400Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. This engine will be offered with an automatic transmission. Performance data for both units will be revealed during the model’s launch in Paris.

The French car brand has also stated that the standard suspension has been retuned, while the acceleration pedal will be more responsive due to the added Driver Sport Pack, standard on every 308 GT.

The 2015 Peugeot 308 GT will go on sale in October with prices expected to be announced at the car’s premiere at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
