2015 Mini John Cooper Works Hardtop unveiled

Mini has officially pulled the covers off the new 2015 Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) Hardtop at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show following a preview last month. The new 2015 John Cooper Works Hardtop features a more powerful engine, sporty suspension and enhanced aerodynamics.

The new car is more aggressive than the standard model and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. The 2015 Mini JCW Hardtop receives a new front fascia with larger air intakes, honeycomb grille inserts, LED headlamps, aerodynamic side skirts, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, centre mounted dual exhaust system and a new rear bumper.

The interior comes equipped with Dinamica / fabric sport seats, a sport steering wheel and stainless steel pedals. Other highlights include piano black trim, revised instrumentation and ‘John Cooper Works’ sill plates.

A 2.0-litre four-cylinder TwinPower turbocharged engine runs under the hood of the new 2015 Mini John Cooper Works Hardtop to produce 228PS of power and 320Nm of torque. This enables enables the hatchback to sprint from 0-100kmph in just 5.9 seconds before hitting a top-speed of 246kmph.

The 2015 JCW Hardtop also receives a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and an Electronic Differential Lock Control system.

The new 2015 Mini John Cooper Works Hardtop will go on sale in the international market in the first quarter of this year at a starting price of Rs 19.01 lakh.
