2015 Ford Endeavour Goes Live on Ford India Website

With the previous Endeavour, Ford managed to taste a fair bit of success in the initial stages, but only till the time the Toyota Fortuner came in. In the recent past the sales figures of the Endeavour aren’t something to write home about, which is why the American car maker has discontinued production of the model. But that aside, Ford is also getting ready to launch its popular SUV in a new Avatar. 

The Ford Endeavour set to be launched in the first quarter of 2016 will be offered in two engine options. The two-wheel drive version will sport a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder unit that makes 160PS and 385Nm. This engine will come mated to a manual transmission as well as a 6-speed automatic. The 4WD version will get the larger 3.2-litre 5-pot unit that produces 200PS and a whopping 470Nm. The 3.2-litre engine will only be offered in the higher variants and will only come mated to the automatic gearbox. 

Aside from the engine, Ford has ensured that the 2016 Endeavour looks aggressive just like an SUV of its class should be and at the same time not losing on its DNA. It stays true to its American heritage thanks to a massive stance, chrome front grille and a chrome garnish at the back above the registration plate. Ford has also given the interior and features a much needed upgrade. The dual tone dashboard looks premium thanks to part of it being leather wrapped. And then of course there are quite a few first-in-class features like electrically folding last row, dual-zone climate control, electric boot lid and more. 

The Ford Endeavour , scheduled to be launched early next year, will go against the likes of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Trailblazer and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. We expect the 2015 Ford Endeavour to be launched between Rs 22-27 lakh.
