2015 BMW M6 Gran Coupe to be launched on September 30

BMW India will launch the 2015 model year M6 Gran Coupe on September 30. The new car will be launched in India’s first BMW M Studio which will be a dedicated showroom to showcase the entire BMW M car range in India which will include the likes of the M3, M4, M5 and the M6 coupe. The new showroom will be located in Mumbai and other cities like Delhi and Bangalore will also see similar showrooms in the coming months.

The 2015 model year M6 Gran Coupe will come with pretty much the same running gear as the older one did. You get a twin turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine that makes 560PS of peak power or 575PS if you opt for the competition package and an exhaust note that equals some of the greatest orchestras around the world. The car does get a few updates in the exterior front including the headlamps and tail lamps but on the whole they are pretty difficult to spot unless you are a BMW enthusiast.

That said, the new BMW M Studio is a great initiative by BMW to cater to its performance oriented customers. The BMW M Studio concept will essentially be a part of the larger BMW showrooms and will be an exclusive space to promote the BMW M Cars. In essence, the BMW M Studio will be similar to Mercedes-Benz’s AMG Performance centres in India.
