The motocross range consists of 250, 350 and 450 four-stroke models plus an 85cc minicross bike. The most noticeable feature is the employment of a polyamide rear subframe, which houses the airbox and key electronic components and has been designed for improved rigidity providing higher flex than traditional aluminium structure. Also this casted subframe comprising of a single-component eliminates the use of welds, while suspension has been sourced from KTM owned WP. The new models are actually rebranded Husabergs, a brand owned by KTM since 1995. The company whose Swedish origins which dates back to 1903, was earlier sold by BMW to KTM and was called Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH operating from the Austrian firm’s base in Mattighofen. According to Husqvarna, “All models feature the advanced WP 4CS closed cartridge front fork with four separate chambers, which represents a premium class, front-end suspension system. The enduro range – except the TE125 – feature electric starters. The rear features an advanced shock with linkage system especially developed for enduro use, which is robust and effective for easy handling over rough terrain and for absorbing big hits. At the same time, the bikes are designed to provide optimal traction over smaller ruts and bumps.”
