If you are one of those two-wheeler enthusiasts who wants to explore the scenic hills of our country but were worried on how to go about this journey fearing break downs and other such hiccups. For such riders Helmet Stories has announced its annual ride to Pangi Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Helmet Stories had initiated the ride to Pangi Valley in 2012 and the 2014 edition of the ride commences from Manali on September 14th. The entire duration of the ride is seven days in which the bikers will travel across various destinations like Urgos, Sural, Satrundi, Khajjar and Dharamshala before concluding the ride at Chandigarh. On the route, riders will encounter Rohtang Pass and Sach Pass as they ride on the unpaved and broken roads along with rivers and forests for company. The riders will encounter a plethora of twisties on their journey alongwith elevation changes, and if you are among those riders who are scouting for a sumptuous patch of tarmac throughout the journey we will suggest you to look somewhere else.
The fee for the Pangi Valley ride is Rs 80,000 per participant and only 12 slots are on offer. The participants will be lead by experienced tour leaders with a support vehicle and a backup crew trailing them. As part of the package, the riders will be provided accommodation on twin sharing basis (Manali, Tandi, Dharamshala and Chandigarh), tents per person with sleeping bags, mattress etc and meals. Bikes for the journey are also provided by Helmet Stories alongwith fuel. The aspects that are not included in the package are airfare, shipping cost of bike to Manali, tips, drinks and the fact that mechanics wouldn’t be stocking spares and parts for riders who bring their own bikes.
