The real competition for Gill was his team-mate Amittrajit Ghosh behind the steering wheel of the Mahindra XUV 5OO. But mechanical problem on the first day of the rally meant it was all but over for Ghosh. The Rally of Coimbatore saw a healthy turnout of 36 participants and featured two stages of 26.1km and 12.65km respectively. The next round of IRC will be the AVT Premium South India Rally to be held in Chennai between July 25th and 27th.
