Selling 16,337 units in one year, the Swedish brand sold the most ever bikes in its 111-year old history. The 2014 sales numbers indicate that in just over two years since KTM acquired Husqvarna, the brand has seen 50 per cent sales growth.

2014 has been a momentous year for the Husqvarna brand, which was acquired by KTM CEO Stefan Pierer just two years ago. In all, 16,337 Husqvarna motorcycles were sold in 2014, also generating over 100 million Euros in turnover for the Swedish bike manufacturer.

This growth provided Husqvarna Motorcycles with production and sales figures never before achieved during the brand’s 111 years of motorcycle production.

Husqvarna gained significant market share in the endure competition segment as well as making an outstanding restart  into the motocross segment, where close to 6,000 Husqvarna motocross bikes were sold worldwide in 2014.

The 2014 sales numbers indicate that in just over two years since KTM acquired Husqvarna, the brand has seen 50 per cent sales growth, compared to just 10,700 units sold in 2012, the last full year when the brand was under the BMW Motorrad umbrella.

Now the question is – will the Husky come to India anytime soon?
