Mahendra Singh Dhoni's much talked about bike collection will be on display at the two-day Bike Festival of India at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida

Bike Festival of India, October 4-5, 2014

Dhoni will play a key role as the face of the festival and of course, his newest acquisition, the Confederate Hellcat, will also be showcased at the BFI, billed to be the largest motorbike festival in South Asia.

Among the main events over the weekend will be a dirt bike championship, drag race championship, racing championship, stunt biking and XDL championship. There will also be a host of adventure sports such as rappelling, paragliding, bungee jumping and much more.  For those less adventurous, there is arm wrestling, weight lifting, bench press, rock climbing, burger eating and cola drinking competitions.

Street food stalls, tattoo artists, virtual bike racing and a host of talented musicians, DJs and artists are expected to enthral participants. The festival will feature music such as sufi, rock, EDM and Bollywood Dance Music.

The Bike Festival of India also lays great emphasis on the importance of safety in biking. As part of its efforts to raise awareness, the BFI has flagged off a 30-day National Safety Ride on August 31, 2014 from New Delhi.  Triumph Motorcycles is the official partner of the BFI National Safety Ride and bikes on the ride are all Triumph motorbikes.

The month-long safety ride over 8000 km to spread awareness of safe riding and using helmets will finally culminate on the BFI weekend at the Buddh International Circuit.
