Hero MotoCorp sales flat in January 2015

Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) is upbeat about reiterating the company’s market leadership at the onset of the New Year and clocking yet another month with sales of over 5.5 lakh units.

Although overall, sales fell marginally by 0.4 per cent from 5,61,253 units in January 2014 to 5,58,982 in January 2015, the company remained upbeat on sales performance in 2015.

“HMCL sold 5,58,982 units of two-wheelers in the month of January 2015, despite its despatches being severely impacted during the two-day long transporters’ strike during the month,” the company said in a statement.

Hero MotoCorp closed 2014 with sales of 66,45,787 units, the company’s largest ever sales achieved for any calendar year.
