If you have ever tried combining photography and speed, chances are that you have come to terms with the fact that it is not an easy task to capture life at 100km/h or so. But then the experience packed with adrenaline and thrill is something that if captured correctly can return amazing results and stunning imagery.

That however is now a thing of the past, courtesy this little new gadget called GoPro video/still camera that has burst onto the action video scene. Quite true to its name GoPro, the system hands extreme amount of ease and feasibility to capture high-quality video and images right in the middle of the action from any sort of sport or activity.
Gladly welcomed and instantly loved by several motorsports and racing teams as well as adventure sport athletes around the world, the GoPro Camera has officially entered the Indian market. An effort under-taken by Chennai-based firm Stereovision, who specialize in providing high-quality video recording equipment to the Indian film industry, they are now the official Indian distributors for the California-based GoPro cameras. Starting with the flagship product, the HD HERO2, the product has will be available at an introductory price of Rs. 21,000 and will be available across several GoPro dealers setup by Stereobiz across the country.
The second generation version raises the bar a few notches higher with some solid upgrades like a bump with 11-megapixel sensor which can take photos at a rate of up to ten per second as against the previous model’s 5-megapixel sensor unit.
There is a new 170 degree wide-angle lens shooting in 1080P, a significant hike from the 127-degree found on earlier unit. Another improved feature is addition of red record lights on the rear and top of the camera for added convenience. What all this transforms into is better image quality and noteworthy enhancement in results when shooting in low-light conditions.
