The Company's first android based connected car stereo system is a multi-talented entertainment package

Clarion AX1

Clarion launched its first android based connected car audio system called AX1 in India at Rs 55,990. The AX1 was developed in Malaysia and is built with automotive grade materials to withstand temperatures up to 80 degrees celcius and vibrations that makes building a car entertainment system different from tablets that are used as accessories at times. The Clarion AX1 is more than just that though, because it boasts a set of features that promises to take in-car entertainment to the next level.

To begin with, the head unit is a 6.5 inch high quality LCD touchscreen running on Android OS and has 1GB of RAM. The interface is exactly like all android devices with a flip down menu and a three page home screen. It also has six quick launch application icons. The device doesn’t lag for any basic function and is very easy to use. You can also use the AX1 as a portable hotspot and connect it to your handheld device. This can be used to download music on the device, play videos from another device connected to the AX1 and stream just about anything. Access to folders from other android devices connected to it makes no need for storage space. It can also play audio and video files from USB devices.

The AX1 also has built in navigation, customisable wallpapers and access to the Infogo app that helsp you download music on the go. Clarion has tied up with T-series in India for downloadable hindi audio content. This gives you access to over 25 million free songs, says the company.
