In 2012, Adidas in collaboration with Porsche Design brings classic driving styles into the street with the launch of a special fall/winter collection inspired by the iconic elements of Porsche racing and driving
Porsche 911S Shoe
Featuring a rubber heel element inspired by the cooling system of a Porsche rear engine, the Porsche 911 S Shoe draws inspiration from the same Porsche that won in Monte Carlo three times in a row. With a predominately white exterior and splashes of red around the ankle padding, heel and tongue, the Porsche 911 S encompasses the brand's stylish aesthetic.
Porsche 917 Shoe
The design of the Porsche 917 Shoe just like all other apparel and accessories carrying the 917 badging mimic styling elements very typical to the Porsche racing car that won at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race back in 1970 becoming one of the most successful sport cars of that decade. A distinctive Porsche badge sits on the midsole of the shoe giving it a sharp twist, while another Porsche 917 badge can be seen on the heel patch.
Porsche Typ 597 Jagdwagen Shoe
Grandfather of the Cayenne, the Typ 597 Jagdwagen built in 1954, directly influences the silhouette of this winter boot. The outsole's profile is inspired by the original Jagdwagen's tyre and the metal vintage Porsche logo. Premium leather is used on the upper which is mostly black while the ankle padding shows a hint of red.
Porsche 917 Jacket
The lightweight jacket evokes the pitwalk with its quilted shoulders and sleeves and stand-up biker jacket collar. An antique gold zipper and the embroidered Porsche logo on the chest again give it that vintage look, while the black polyester ripstop brings it up to contemporary speed.
Porsche 917 Track Top
The iconic Adidas track top gets a sleek upgrade with the 917 Track Top and bears its logo on the chest. Another 917 embroidered logo with the 24 Hour badge, sits on the left arm. The race car driver inspired track top has both a poppy red mesh panel on the chest and under the arms for ventilation.
