Good news for bus passengers as you no longer have to face an irritating blower that blows an uncontrollable amount of air onto your face and leaving you either frozen or sweaty. Delphi's new modular A/C gets rid of air ducts and circulates an even amount of air around the cabin

Delphi automotive has come up with a new air conditioning system for buses that circulates a uniform amount of cool air around the cabin. Multiple compact units are to be installed inside a bus cabin. The system is modular and ductless unit with brushless motors to reduce noise while blowing air. The new HVAC system is designed for buses so that passengers are more comfortable during the journey. The new system is more efficient and reduces fuel consumption as compared to traditional roof mounted units.

“Compared to traditional roof top units, Delphi Diavia’s new internal HVAC unit reduces drafts, freeze zones and loud noise. Its modular design helps reduce maintenance costs while its compact engineering cuts weight and energy consumption,” said, Marco Lelli, sales and marketing manager, Delphi Thermal Systems.

The new HVAC system will be available in the market for bus body builders and OEM’s by the end of this year. The new A/C unit can be installed in buses with seating capacity of four to thirty five passengers.
