The Fortuner is Toyota’s off-road-capable three-row SUV offering in India. It is available in a single, fully-loaded trim with the option to choose from a 2.7-litre petrol or a 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with manual or automatic transmission options. It is priced between Rs 33.43 lakh and 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
Toyota also offers a Legender variant with the Fortuner, featuring cosmetic updates over the standard Fortuner and is available only in a single Pearl White color option. The Legender variant is equipped with a 2.8-litre diesel engine and commands a premium over the standard model.
Features of Toyota Fortuner The Toyota Fortuner comes equipped with features such as a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 11-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and hands-free tailgate opening. Other features include cruise control, automatic climate control, powered-driver seats, multi-info display, and keyless entry with push button start. Safety is taken care of by seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front parking sensors, rear camera with parking sensors, and electronic stability control.
Toyota Fortuner Engine The Toyota Fortuner gets two engine options: a new 204PS/500Nm 2.8-litre diesel and a 166PS/245Nm 2.7-litre petrol unit. Transmission options include 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic for diesel engine, and 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox for petrol engine. The diesel variants get an option for rear and all-wheel drive, whereas the petrol variants are only offered with a rear-wheel drivetrain.
