Audi A8 L

Audi will launch the updated A8 L on July 12 in India. Pre-bookings for the flagship luxury sedan are already underway for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. It will be offered in two trims: Celebration and Technology. As part of the various customization options available on the A8 L, it gets a recliner and foot massager for the back seats that can be had with the Rear Relaxation Package.There is a 48-V mild hybrid system with the 3-litre TFSI petrol powertrain, and it also features Audi’s Predictive Air Suspension for a plush ride quality.

The carmaker is expected to price the updated A8L close to the current model that retails at Rs 1.57 crore (ex-showroom). It will rekindle its rivalry with the  Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series.

Features of Audi A8 L : Being a luxury sedan, the Audi A8L will get a plethora of equipment like a new optional 10.1-inch rear touchscreens, a 1920-watt, 23-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system and a bigger set of Digital Matrix LED headlights. It is likely to retain bits such as connected car technology, four-zone climate control aircon, ambient lighting and powered front seat. Safety features such as 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and a lane departure warning system are expected to be carried over from the outgoing model.

Audi A8 L Engine : The A8L will be powered using a 340PS 3-litre TFSI turbo-petrol engine with a claimed 0-100kmph of 5.7 seconds. The powertrain gets a 48-V mild hybrid system with an all-wheel drivetrain and 8-speed automatic transmission.
