The Audi 90 quattro was raced in the International Motor Sports Association GT Championship. Thanks to its four-wheel drive system and a five-cylinder supercharged 2.1 litre engine producing 721PS of power it came close to dominating the 1989 season of the IMSA GTO, winning seven out of 15 races
