I strongly disagree. I own a figo 1.4 TDCi for over 2 years and get 22 kmpl, no sweat. I drive a mix of highways and city bumper to bumper, and it cannot get worse than Mumbai traffic during rush hours. I say mix because I stay in town and my office is in the suburbs. One way I am spared the bumper to bumper grind.

 I assume that you have a petrol Figo for which the lower mileage figure may be true.The diesel Figo is however very frugal

 Hi, i am a proud owner of figo for the last two years now....the facelift is very encouraging and gives more an upmarket feel with better safety standards (airbags for first time in figo) and styling as well. This is a very good car to drive infact its a drivers car...you will enjoy driving everytime. Its also a sturdy and well balanced car.but one thing that hugely let me down is its mileage, it gives only 11-12 kmpl while any maruti hatchback gives 16-18kmpl. and i still dont find cues how ford is sending messages across country about its mileage. if mileage is one of your priorities then my advice would be dont get your hands down on this. Better go for a swift or something else. Even in this facelifted figo ford is tight-lipped about it mileage and that makes it even more a worrying cause for concern. My advice for first time figo buyers is you personally test drive( u will like it as i liked it when i drove) but get thorough feedback on the milage front with existing owners (1 and 2 years owners) because tomorrow you shouldn't be here grumbling about figos mileage and helping someone else before buying by commenting on this as i doing today. If mileage is not your cup of coffee, then you can blindly book this car its a real value for money and the maintenance cost is also reasonable for sure you wouldn't shell more pennies every time when your car enters the garage.
