Diesel cars do not remain a craze since diesel prices are galloping. The diesel car manufacturers are well aware.of this fact. 4/5 years ago they sought clarification from the government to spell out its policy whether its prefers to go for petrol or diesel cars, to enable the manufacture of diesel cars. But government remained mum over its policy. Obviously, when it is indicated that diesel price will increase in future the gap between diesel and petrol becomes insignificant hence the diesel cars manufacturers are giving discount . But the government when it is appeasing petrol lobby (companies) it forgets about public transport and agriculturists, depended on diesel, and prices spiral affects agro economics badly; ultimately effecting the common man. Since the present government is not for the common man and least concerned about poor people and is more concerned about 'paybacks'. Hence, we people are helpless to do anything.
