I look the photo gallery of Toyota FORTUNER. Very dashing look & good interior. If Toyota want to be No. 1 in SUV segment in India then there is my sincere advice to Toyota that plz Launch the fortuner soon with price tagged between 10 Lac to 15 Lac. with different engine capacity (like 2.0 litre to 3.0 litre in diesel segment & 1.8 litre to 2.5 litre in petrol segment) .........Feel free to contact at my personal inbox ajaykharinta@gmail.com | Reply

Why are these cars..., be it Toyota, Honda, Nissan,VW, all these foreign brands cost only about US$ 10 to 25 k in USA , which shd. be actually converted to Rs.5 to 12 lakhs in India ....cost that high like Rs.20 plus lakhs..... Some of these cars are actually getting completely manufactured here ! Can the car manufacturer and government do some thing about this....? so that many Indians can own these beauties and their revenues go up !? | Reply

toyota can never become No.1 in india as their product are way to overpriced. worldover toyota is known to give affordable wheels with reliability but in india their product pricing is worst & 1 more thing they have been in india for almost 10 years but they have failed to launch products in segments that appeal to masses. i luv their cars but i hate their pricing | Reply

Toyota guys r all messed up in their heads. Wat kinda source bout the indian market feeds them with all the wrong notions. Fortuner is not 1 gr8 bet 4 india considerin the success of ford endeavour.scale down the price of this masked innova | Reply

with the low oil prices in middle east buyers hardly look beyond looks n comfort. the same won't apply in india. so i hope toyota get everything sorted out properly. | Reply

too much price for simple body and normal interior car, specially 3.0 lit engine, it shoud be around 10-14 max. I agree to that Toyota should not take Indian market so lightly with cheap quality material. specially flopped model in outter world. | Reply

OVERPRICING A SENSIBLE CAR WILL MAKE IT UNSENSIBLE . IN MOST MARKETS ITS PRICED SIMILAR TO INNOVA BUT IN INDIA IF THEY WANT TO DOUBLE THE PRICE THEN DONT EXPECT ANY SIGNIFICANT NUMBERS. IF TOYOTA REALLY WANTS TO SELL THIS CAR IN INDIA AND DO GOOD NUMBERS THAN IT SHOULD FOLLOW THE SIMILAR PRICING . IF THE ORICE RANGE START AT AROUND 100,000/- THEN IT CAN SELL REALLY WELL. | Reply

this model hasnt done all that well in the middle east market.atlast, the endeavour thunder has met with a proper contender in its price range.the other 'SUVs'in te price bracket cannot be compared to fortuner since it has got pickup roots(much like endeavour)but i believe toyota could have made it cheaper considering that innova and fortuner are built on the same platform.even after considering the abilities of the fortuner,it might not end up being as big a hit as toyota might like simply because there is no market for true blue 4x4s in india.and if one decides to buy the 4x2 version, there is no charm in buying a pickup based SUV with no four wheel drive..this might be a bad move from toyota.they probably should have introduced the new RAV4 instead,to counter the CRV | Reply

Do we have a date from Toyota now for the launch of FORTUNER or should we forget it in 2009? Any info will be helpful as I am planning to buy SUV in July 2009, when I am back in India | Reply

I have been tracking this car from 2005. Fedup with the promises AND MOVED ON. Though lauched is most south Asian countries and ME it was not launched in India because of the high sales of the innova in India which did not leave any production capacity. Also, automakers such as Toyota know that India will accept any trash put out on 4 wheels. Comapre Toyota's offering in other countries against the pathetic lineup in India. | Reply
